A Little More Mora, Delivered at No Cost to You When You Buy 2+

Mora was founded on the belief that we all deserve more from life.

Living in the heart of Minneapolis, Alix felt overwhelmed by anxiety and the relentless pace of modern life. In search of balance, she turned to ceramics—the tactile, grounding process of crafting beautiful, functional pieces became a form of self-care, nourishing her mind, body, and soul.

Inspired by her own personal mental health journey, she created Mora to share that sense of calm with others. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to bring intention to daily rituals, serving as a quiet reminder to slow down and savor life’s simple pleasures.

Rooted in both form and function, Mora pieces are made for everyday moments of pause—whatever that looks like for you. Through each one, Alix hopes to pass on the solace and joy she found, encouraging others to embrace self-care in the rhythms of their daily lives.

Mora is more than a brand—it’s a family story rooted in

craftsmanship, tradition, and care.

Design Studio • Alix • Minneapolis

The process starts at our Minneapolis studio, where Alix finds inspiration through her time on the potter's wheel—sketching, shaping, refining, and bringing each piece to life. This is where the vision for every collection is born, blending thoughtful design with the warmth of handmade artistry.

The heart of Mora is here—where creativity, care, and mindful handiwork come together. From Alix’s happy place to your home, every detail is considered so Mora’s message lasts as long as your ceramics.

For those looking for U.S.-made ceramics, we’re happy to offer custom quotes from Alix in the design studio. For more information, reach out to us at care@moraceramics.com.

Production Studio •
Jerry & Sean • Xiamen

While Alix leads Mora’s design from Minnesota, her Taiwanese husband, Jerry, and his brother, Sean, carry forward their family’s legacy in ceramics. Together, they refine traditional techniques in their family-run studio in Xiamen.

As a material engineer, Jerry takes the lead in blending Alix's vision with a deep understanding of the science behind the clay. Sean then personally oversees the studio, upholding the family’s commitment to exceptional quality so it shines through today and for generations to come.

This is a true family collaboratin with Alix designing her work in the U.S. while Sean and Jerry test each piece for practicality and comfort. More than tableware, we create ceramics you can trust to elevate your everyday moments.

At Mora, every piece reflects our family’s dedication to quality and care, bringing moments of calm and connection to your daily life.

The Behind the Scenes Crew

Working together to bring more of Mora to you.

Alexis • Website Manager

"As Mora's Website Manager, I get to blend problem-solving with creativity to make every part of the experience seamless—because finding something you love should be effortless, not frustrating. Life is hectic enough, so if I can take one little stressor off someone’s plate, I’m all for it.

One of my favorite parts of this job is the interaction—with our team, our Mora community, and the details that make Mora what it is. I love hearing how people use our ceramics in their daily lives. Knowing our work becomes part of those moments is incredibly rewarding.

There’s also this constant push to try new things, to improve, to keep evolving. It never feels stagnant, and that keeps me engaged. Everyone’s strengths along with Alix’s designs and vision come together to create something meaningful—not just for ourselves, but for the people who bring Mora and what Mora represents into their lives, and being part of that feels very special."

Danika • Creative Team Member

"Working with Alix as the Creative Assistant at Mora has been such a cool and inspiring experience. Everything we create—whether it’s a story, a visual, or a vibe—is crafted with the same care that goes into our ceramics. I am a very creative person, and at Mora I get the opportunity to grow and express that creativity. It’s not just about making things look good; it’s about capturing the feeling Mora brings to the table (pun intended).

What I love most? The creative freedom to bring Mora’s vision to life in a way that feels fresh and intentional. It’s about sharing those little moments of beauty, calm, and connection—while working with a team that’s just as obsessed about the details as I am. Every day is a new chance to experiment, create, and make something that I get to be proud of."
