Why Kimchi?

Kimchi, the staple Korean fermented cabbage dish, is packed with flavors. When incorporated into a martini, it adds:

✅ A subtle tangy depth that enhances the spirit
✅ A savory umami kick that complements the dryness of the drink
✅ A hint of spice for an unexpected twist

Think of it as the more complex, flavor-forward cousin of a dirty martini—except instead of olive brine, you’re swapping in the magic of fermentation.

The Kimchi-tini deets:

  • Kimchi brine (from a high-quality kimchi, ideally)
  • Dry vermouth
  • A few dashes of sesame oil (optional, for extra depth)
  • Ice
  • Kimchi slice, sesame seeds, gochujanng paste, and dried seaweed for garnish
  • Chili oil (if you want more of a kick)

Instructions

    1. Chill Your GlassPop your Pure Mora Martini Glass in the freezer.
    2. Shake It Up – In a cocktail shaker, add vodka (or gin), kimchi brine, vermouth, and ice. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
    3. Rim the glass -Grab your glass out of the freezer, dip the rim in the gochjang paste. Then dip the rim in some sesame seeds.
    4. Strain & Serve – Strain the cocktail into the chilled and rimmed glass.
